Originally from Hong Kong, Anthony began studying music at a very young age. Later he became a singing coach and conducted choir (Salvation Army Kowloon Central Corps Songster Brigade) for eight years. In 1979, he led his choir on a performing tour in the Philippines.

After earning a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Hong Kong Baptist University, Anthony worked as the producer/director of the Hong Kong Christian Service Communication Center, hosting a radio program, producing video, music and audio-visual programs. He also produced and composed an album, "Finding My Way".

In early 1986, Anthony came to the United States to study at Temple University in Philadelphia, where he received his MFA degree . Two years later, he won the World TV Singing Contest in New York. During his three and half year stay in Philadelphia, he was often invited to share and sing at churches in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York. In 1989, he wrote eleven songs for "Caucasian Circle" a play by Brecht, performed by Four Seas Drama Company in New York. In the same year he settled in the San Francisco Bay Area and worked as the director for the TV show "Inside China" on KCNS-TV38.

Since 1994, Anthony has been teaching voice full-time. Having studied under several instructors at the Musicians Institute in Hollywood, California, his emphasis is in the contemporary/pop singing style, and many of his students have won numerous singing contests in the San Francisco Bay Area. In recent years he has also studied the Speech Level Singing Technique and the Estill Voice Training System. By integrating the three techniques, he teaches a natural singing method that can be adapted to any musical style. He is also experienced in training worship teams; and teaching on the balance and transition between traditional and contemporary style of worship.

It was in December 1998 when Anthony responded to God's calling for full time ministry. One year later he published his first CD album "Love Journeys" in three language versions (English, Cantonese and Mandarin), meeting the needs of different generations and communities. In July 2000, Anthony was invited as a featured artist for the CHRISTIAN MUSIC 2000 festival held in Singapore and he was also invited to write the lyrics for the theme song of the event. In November and December 2000, he took a team for a 28-day ministry trip to Singapore, Malaysia, North East India and Hong Kong giving concerts and training workshops for local churches.

In February 2001, Anthony with his wife Isabella and their two good friends who shared the same vision for music and worship ministry officially founded joyful noise Xpress, Inc. Less than four months later, jnX released its first Chinese worship album "Draw Me Close to You - Intimate Worship" with Cantonese and Mandarin versions.

In 2003 Anthony collaborated with renowned Christian songwriter/producer Peter Kam to produce another CCM album. In February 2004, the Cantonese version of "Wait..." “Wait…” was released and the Mandarin version will be released in March 2005.

Anthony and his team continue to travel around the US and Asia ministering to churches of different denominations.

Involved in music ministry for over 30 years, Anthony has a burning passion for the Lord, and a fervent desire to share this passion with the church through music and worship.
