Workshop 1 will guide you through all the muscles and elements you can coordinate to sing
Workshop 2 will focus on practical application and adjustments when you sing
(Workshop 2 is a continuation and application of workshop 1. If you can’t attend workshop 1, it may be difficult to get the full benefit of workshop 2. However, if you can only attend workshop 1, you can wait for the next round to take workshop 2 when we offer the training again.)

- Unveiling the mystery of the throat – God’s wonderful creation
- Independently control different muscles
- Sensing the different resonance spots
- It’s not that difficult to sing high notes
- Vocal exercises that you can do anytime
- Articulation 101
- Lead vocals vs. back up vocals
- Emotion and expression
- Changing the color of your voice
- Help you to correct some wrong habits right on the spot
Instructor
Anthony Chan - worship leader / songwriter / singer / keyboardist / voice instructor / video artist
Anthony is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of “joyful noise Xpress”; he is also a worship leader, singer, songwriter and vocal coach. Originally from Hong Kong, Anthony got his BA from the Hong Kong Baptist University. He received his Master of Fine Arts from Temple University in Philadelphia. Later he studied under several instructors at the Musicians Institute in Hollywood. In recent years he has also studied the Speech Level Singing Technique and the Estill Voice Training System. By integrating the three techniques, he teaches a natural singing method that can be adapted to any musical style. He is also experienced in training worship teams; and teaching on the balance and transition between traditional and contemporary style of worship. In 1998, Anthony responded to God’s calling for full time Ministry in worship and music. He has recorded three albums, with multiple language versions. With over 30 years of experience in music ministry, Anthony has a burning passion for the Lord, and continues to share this passion with the body of Christ. |
